Class Description:

Celebrated as Ireland's "chef of the people," Kevin Dundon prepares the Emerald Isle's new comfort food on his PBS and Create TV television series. On the eve of his showcase at Boston's first iFest, a 3-day premium festival showcasing contemporary Irish culture, entertainment and innovation at the Seaport World Trade Center, Kevin is taking a detour to Clarke to share his culinary skills in an exciting foodie event and signing his most recent cookbook, Kevin Dundon's Modern Irish Food, for guests. For those who think Irish food is still all about potatoes, corned beef and cabbage, think again. Kevin is all about taking Irish traditions and giving them an international flair.

During this special evening, you'll learn the secrets of Dundon's craft, which is known well at Dunbrody Country House Hotel & Restaurant in Wexford on Ireland's south coast, where he is the chef and proprietor. He has also captured the imagination of those visiting Raglan Road Irish Gastropub in Downtown Disney in Orlando, where he is the signature chef. During his cooking demonstration at Clarke, you will enjoy tasting his Seafood Chowder, Pan-seared Fillet of Beef with Mini Shepherd's Pie, as well as his Apple Tart Tatin. There will be additional signature Dundon recipes for tasting as well (who will be able to resist his Dunbrody Kiss chocolate dessert?)

You'll also be treated to Kevin's quintessential Irish charm, quick wit and insider tips about using local ingredients to create crowd-pleasing dishes. Following his live demonstration, you'll have an opportunity to purchase his cookbook and have it personally signed. Come enjoy a rare event in Clarke's intimate Kitchen Theater that gets you up close with one of Ireland's finest chefs right before his new television series airs on PBS this fall.

Seating is limited, so make your reservation today.
