Rodney Poles Bio

You might call Rodney Poles a "renaissance chef," as he has lended his talents to a wide variety of culinary venues. He currently offers private chef services through his company Rodney Poles and Associates and spends much of the year cooking for an elite clientele in The Hamptons. When not there, he offers cooking classes ("Cooking with Roddy") for both young and old. Prior to opening his current business, Rodney was the Culinary Instructor at Exeter Academy, as well as spending eight years as chef, community educator and event planner for Whole Foods.  

He enjoys combining his expertise in culinary education, restaurant management, and food preparation and has successfully partnered with some of the top companies in the food service industry. His career started at the fine dining restaurant, Trattoria Il Panino, where he studied under Italian chefs from both Northern and Southern Italy. Rodney also served as Sauce, Garde Manger, and Saute Chef at the Weston Golf Club, has been a front of the house manager at the Cheesecake Factory, and has run a successful family owned restaurant in Boston

Rodney is passionate about cooking and enjoys teaching people how to find fun and passion in the kitchen…according to this natural-born foodie, cooking should never feel like work!
