Jo-Ann Ross Bio

Jo-Ann Ross, a lifelong wine enthusiast, took a glorious hobby and turned it
into an active career. In addition to holding a Diploma of Wine and Spirits
from Great Britain’s Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET), she is a
Certified Specialist of Wine and a Certified Specialist of Spirits through the
Society of Wine Educators. Jo-Ann is also New England’s First French
Wine Scholar Instructor issued by the French Wine Society of Washington,
DC and endorsed by Wines of France. With three “sold out” French Wine
Scholar courses under her belt, she is currently conducting the fourth FWS
course at Boston’s French Cultural Center (Alliance Française) in
Downtown Boston. She also recently gave a sold-out seminar at Boston’s
Wine Expo entitled: “Languedoc - The Frontier of French Wine”.
Jo-Ann teaches numerous classes at the Boston Center for Adult
Education and Rhode Island School of Design.

An active member of the National Speakers Association, Jo-Ann has over
30 years of professional speaking experience. She is also a member of
Les Dames D’Escoffier, an association for women leaders in the food and
beverage industry.

Her wine career took an unusual turn in 2012. As an agent for Benson
Marketing (a full service Marketing Company for the Wine Industry), Jo-Ann
completed five successful marketing promotions in the Boston area.
6,567 bottles, 993 glasses, and 4 boxed wines of Languedoc wines
were purchased during the 2014 L’Aventure Languedoc promotion in
Boston. She also successful Muscadet promotions for Loire Valley
Wines pairing Muscadet with oysters, Bordeaux Trade Seminars, and a
recent Rhone Valley Wine Promotion.
